OUR HOME

EVERY FARMER IS A PIECE OF HOME

First the packaging opens, then the heart. Because we are convinced that you can taste our love for the Alpine foothills.
In every yoghurt, in every cheese.

Chiemsee SOUL

HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS

Here at Bauer, we have lots of ideas. Ideas about new products, about sustainability, about improving working conditions, about cooperating with our farmers ... In good Bavarian free-thinker style, we are open to everything and can imagine anything. Except living and working somewhere else. We are too attached to our marvellous Alpine foothills, the beautiful Chiemsee, the people, the animals and everything that goes with it. Our Bavaria is heart, soul and passion all rolled into one.

WASSERBURG AM INN

The bavarian venice

When you think of Bavarian nature, you probably think of mountains and valleys. But at Bauer and in our home region, everything is a little different. We have the "Bavarian Sea", the Chiemsee. And we have the "Bavarian Venice", our home town of Wasserburg am Inn. Wasserburg is a peninsula dating back to the 12th century that can only be reached via a narrow spit of land, our "Rialto Bridge", if you will. But in terms of flair, Wasserburg with its colourful patrician houses, arcades, winding alleyways and many cafés is almost like the "little sister" of Venice, where people speak Bavarian.

The Chiemsee APls

SImply majestic

If you find Wasserburg's winding alleyways a little too narrow from time to time, simply get on your bike and explore the surrounding area. You can choose from towns such as Rosenheim, Bad Aibling or Kolbermoor. Here you'll find contrasting tradition and modernity, alpine charm, industrial design, culture and art. And if you still have the energy, pay a visit to Herrenchiemsee Castle. King Ludwig II acquired it in 1873 (14 years before our family dairy was founded) and had it built in the style of Versailles as a "temple of glory" for Louis XIV.
