ROOM DUO STRAWBERRIES AND RHUBARB!

CAN YOU EAT RHUBARB RAW?

You can enjoy our Bircher muesli with the dream combination of strawberries and rhubarb at any time without any restrictions. However, you should be a little careful when eating rhubarb raw. As long as you only eat a maximum of two peeled stalks raw, there are usually no problems. However, you should definitely avoid eating large quantities of rhubarb raw. Especially if the rhubarb is unpeeled. This is because rhubarb contains a lot of oxalic acid (460 mg per 100 g of rhubarb), which is unhealthy or even poisonous in large quantities. It attacks tooth enamel and there is a risk of developing kidney or bladder stones. In general, very little raw rhubarb should be consumed during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
